Dual-language logo design for University of Oxford research project
Excluded Lives is a research project coordinated by the University of Oxford's Department of Education. It aims to advance a multi-disciplinary understanding of the political economies of exclusion, and how more equitable outcomes can be achieved for pupils, their families, and professionals.
The research team asked me to create a clean, recognisable, meaningful and practical logo for the project. In order to make it as usable as possible, the logo was delivered in both English and Welsh versions, with both including a 'flipped' version to be use when it was visually sensible to do so. A square shape was preferred to harmonise with the Department of Education and University of Oxford logos, which both take a similar appearance.
